Apple released its latest version of the operating system macOS Monterey (12.0.1) on October 25, 2021. With the compatible version of Accusys Mac driver, all Accusys PCIe and Thunderbolt disk array products support the latest macOS Monterey operating system. If you use Accusys disk arrays with Monterey, please reinstall your Accusys Mac driver as instructed here, you may continue to use it with confidence subsequently.
*Precautions:
1. Before updating the operating system, please make sure that your third-party software supports the Monterey version.
2. Before updating the system and any software, be sure to back up your important data to avoid data loss due to unexpected system errors.
After installing or upgrading to macOS Monterey, users must reinstall the Accusys Mac driver. The installation package can be downloaded from the Accusys Download Center.
Download steps:
Take the latest product Gamma Carry as an example, the download path is as follows:
- Select product series >
- Select product item >
- Installer Package >
- Mac Installer >
- Accusys_IP_Mac_3.7.2_s_macOS_BigSur.zip
*For Step 5 above, please note when downloading:
a. Accusys_IP_Mac_3.7.2_s_macOS_BigSur.zip is for macOS versions 11.0 (included) and after. Select this package to download for Monterey.
b. Accusys_IP_Mac_3.7.2_s_macOS.zip is for macOS versions before 11.0 (not included) only. Do not select this package to download for Monterey.
Installation steps:
- Execute the downloaded installation package.
- Follow the prompts of the installation package to install.
- During the installation of the Mac Installer, you will be prompted to authorize the update of System Extension settings. Please select the “Open Security Preferences” option.
- Click to open the lock in the lower left corner of the “Security Preferences” window to make changes.
- Click “Allow” and the system will automatically restart after the software installation is done, and the driver installation will be completed after restarting.
Manually update settings:
If you neglected to authorize the System Extension setting update during the above installation process, the device would not restart automatically. In that case, please go to System Preferences, select the “Security & Privacy”, follow the above instructions to complete installation.
